Hot crack filling is the most important step to proper asphalt maintenance. Cracks should be treated as soon as they appear. That being said not all cracks can be treated using hot crack fill.
Hot Crack Fill Requirements:

  1. Cracks should be at least 1/4" in wide and 1/4" deep
  2. Cracks should not exceed 1 1/2" wide
  3. Alligator cracks can not be treated with hot crack fill. For proper treatment of this type of asphalt failure please visit our patchwork page

Our Process:
  1. All vegetation/debris is removed using brooms and high powered blowers.
  2. Hot asphalt rubber is poured into the crack, and squeegeed flush overlapping the crack on either side. This will prevent water from seeping into the crack during the freeze/thaw cycles.
Our crack fill meets both DOT and Federal specification SS-S-164 or 1401-B: Hot poured joint sealer.
